Prove who made it — and whether it changed.
Label what a human made and what AI made. A machine-readable label inside the file, a verified company as issuer and a public log signed with a quantum-resistant key. The file never leaves your computer.
- Verification is free for everyone — no account needed.
- Your file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
- Every seal is written to a public log anchored in Bitcoin.
Verify a file
Drop an image, document or video. We find out who sealed it, what they declared about it and whether it has changed since.
Seal content
Only a verified organisation can seal. Sign in — the account is free, and verifying files stays open to everyone without signing in.

What you declare about the content
First choose the organisation you are sealing for.
Files stay on your device — only fingerprints are sent.
A label that people and platforms can trust
Ankorith seals images, documents and video with a declaration of origin — and lets anyone check it in seconds.
EU AI Act ready
Machine-readable AI content labels (IPTC) that the major platforms read.
Verified issuer
Seals are issued by a company with a proven domain, not by anonymous text.
Survives social media
Recognises an image even after a network recompressed or resized it.
Map of changes
When a sealed image is edited, verification highlights the areas that differ from the original.
Tamper-evident public log
Every seal is an entry in an RFC 6962 log signed with ML-DSA-65 and anchored in Bitcoin twice a day.
Private by design
Fingerprints are computed in the browser. Your files are never uploaded to us.
From a file to a seal anyone can check
- 1
Verify your domain
Your company proves it controls its web domain once, with a DNS record or a file. Seals then carry your verified name.
- 2
Seal and declare
Drop a file and declare what it is: photograph, made by a human, edited with AI or generated by AI. The label is written into the file.
- 3
Anyone verifies
Readers, platforms and authorities check the file for free and see who sealed it and whether it has changed since.
See exactly what changed
A seal remembers what the original looked like. If someone retouches a sealed image and reposts it, verification shows where it differs — even after a social network has recompressed it.
- Exact match — the file is bit-for-bit the sealed original.
- Same image — resized or recompressed, but the content matches.
- Changed — the edited areas are highlighted on a map.
Seal from your own systems
A REST API for newsrooms, agencies, e-shops and archives. You send fingerprints, never files — our own web app uses the same interface.
- Bulk sealing of up to 100 files per call.
- Sub-keys for departments and systems, usage per key.
- Webhooks signed with HMAC-SHA256.
curl -X POST https://ankorith.com/seal/api/bulk \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $ANKORITH_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"items":[{ "sha256": "8e4adba0…", "declaration": "ai-generated", "tool": "Midjourney", "name": "Banner 01" }]}' # → {"ok":true,"results":[{"id":"…","verifyUrl":"https://…"}]}
Questions we hear most
Do you upload my files?
No. The fingerprint is computed in your browser. Only derived values — the file's fingerprint and, for images, an appearance fingerprint and a change grid — are sent to the server. The file itself never leaves your device.
Is verification really free?
Yes. Anyone can verify any file, without an account and without limits. You only pay for issuing seals — see pricing.
What if a social network recompresses the image?
Each seal also stores an appearance fingerprint, so an image is still recognised after it was resized or recompressed. For images sealed with a change grid, verification also shows where the image was altered.
Does Ankorith make us compliant with EU AI Act Article 50?
It gives you a machine-readable IPTC label inside the file, a verified issuer and evidence in a public log — the technical side of Article 50. Whether a particular use counts as a deep fake or as public-interest text depends on your situation; Ankorith is a tool, not legal advice. Read our guide to Article 50.
What happens if a sealed file is edited?
Verification shows it: the fingerprint no longer matches the sealed original, and for images the changed areas are highlighted. A file that claims a seal which is not in the public log is reported as a fake seal.
Who operates Ankorith?
GP novum s.r.o., a company in the Czech Republic (EU). The technology is patent pending — European patent application EP26209596.1.
Every seal and every verified issuer is written to a public log (RFC 6962) whose head the server signs with the quantum-resistant ML-DSA-65 key and anchors into Bitcoin (OpenTimestamps) — so nobody can rewrite it afterwards, not even us. The log is verified right in your browser.
